Certification
The products of Print Tattoo by Stainer meet the highest quality requirements and are tested according to Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.
Our print tattoos are proven to be skin-friendly and harmless to health.
At Print Tattoo, yes! Our products are certified according to strict European Union directives and tested by TÜV.
Do not apply adhesive tattoos on open skin, mucous membranes, or near the eyes and mouth, as well as on sensitive or irritated skin. Wet adhesive tattoos are NOT suitable for children under three years of age. They pose a swallowing hazard!

Where can I find layout templates and instructions for setting up print data?
On the page Layout Templates you will find templates for the layout of your individual tattoos for download. A template for the backside is also included, with all the elements that must be placed on the backside according to the regulations. You can design the back individually in grayscale (change fonts, add logo or design elements) as long as you integrate all these elements. To order a tattoo including custom back printing in the store, simply upload a PDF with 2 pages (front and back).
We need images and graphics in original size and a resolution of at least 150 dpi (dots per inch).
Images, graphics, and motifs that can be used as tattoo templates are subject to certain rights. Therefore, check before each download if and how the file may be used.
Free Tattoo Templates
At Freepik, some graphics can be downloaded for free. Then, however, the name of the author must be cited.
Tattoo Templates for Professionals
With the acquisition of an extended licence on an image platform such as Adobe Stock (Fotolia), matching motifs can be found that you can use with a clear conscience.
The print tattoos are covered with protective foil and cut. Then they are bundled and handily packed.
Optionally, tattoo sheets can also be packed individually in polybags or cardboard boxes.
You will get the best result if you deliver your print data as a PDF and the motifs are already cropped.
Alternatively, you can also provide us with your print data in other common file formats – regardless of whether you prefer vector graphics or pixel graphics.

What is white printing (white colour) and how do I build print data with white printing?
You want print tattoos including white print? Please follow these steps:
When you order the product “Adhesive tattoos in colour” in the online shop, white colour is automatically included.
For setting up the print data:
- Download template: www.print-tattoo.com/en/print-data-with-layout-templates/
- Open the template in your desired graphics program (we recommend Adobe Illustrator)
- In the „Layers“ window you will find a layer named „White Print“, make this layer visible and put the areas you want to have white background on this layer. Color all elements on this layer with the color field „white“ (this is a solid color with 100% magenta, which will be printed white later in the printing process).

Alternative for all non-graphic designers:
Upload your desired graphic in our online-shop as JPEG or PNG in high resolution –> we will then place the file in the selected format and if you have selected „with white colour” , we will add a white background to the entire motif.
The motif requires at least 3 mm of edge distance to the paper edge.
The file for print approval appears mirrored because the motif is printed inversely on the tattoo paper.
Once the tattoo is applied to a specific area of the skin or to an object, it will reappear in the correct view.
What sizes and formats are offered?
Our standard sizes for temporary tattoos are:
- 50 x 50 mm
- 75 x 75 mm
- 100 x 100 mm
- DIN A6
- DIN A5
- DIN A4
These sizes refer to the final format of the paper and any number of designs can be placed on the sheet. These standard sizes are the easiest and fastest to deliver. Custom paper sizes are available upon request with a minimum order quantity of 1000 pieces.
These removable tattoos can also be applied to glass, wood, metal, plastic, carpet and many other materials.
It should be noted that the surface is smooth and has been thoroughly cleaned beforehand.
A popular application is a blackboard-tattoo which are often used in the catering industry.
General
- Creating print data for your print tattoos is very easy, just follow the steps below:
- Download templates www.print-tattoo.com/en/print-data-with-layout-templates/
- Open the template in your desired graphics program (we recommend Adobe Illustrator)
- Edit the template and then save it from the graphics program as „Illustrator PDF“ (for motifs with a fall off the edge incl. 3 mm bleed)
- Upload data depending on the order process in the online store or send it by mail.
Alternative for all non-graphic designers:
Upload your desired graphic in our online-shop as JPEG or PNG in high resolution –> we will then place the file in the selected format and if you order “temporary tattoos in colour”, we will add a white background to the entire motif.
You can choose between 4 metallic colors: gold, silver, anthracite and copper/bronze. The line width of the motifs must be at least 1 pt. or approx. 0.5 mm.
You want print tattoos with metallic colors? Please follow these steps
- Download template for your desired tattoo type: www.print-tattoo.com/en/print-data-with-layout-templates/
- Open the template in your graphics program (we recommend Adobe Illustrator)
- Create the areas you want to have in a metallic color on the layer „your design“ and color all elements on this layer with the color field „Metallic Color1“ (this is a color field with 100% black, which will be printed later in the printing process in the respective metallic color from the order, if you want to create a second metallic color on the same sheet, please create a color field with 100% cyan and the name „Metallic Color2“).
The line width of the motifs must be at least 0.5 mm.
Alternative for non-graphic artists: Provide us with a file (whether JPEG, PNG or any other file format) in which the motif, which will later shine in metallic tones, is represented in a uniform color.
Before we produce your adhesive tattoos, we will send you a print release, where you can check the graphic again.
Technology
Do not apply adhesive tattoos on open skin, mucous membranes, or near the eyes and mouth, as well as on sensitive or irritated skin. Wet adhesive tattoos are NOT suitable for children under three years of age. They pose a swallowing hazard!
Basically, all colours on your motif can be printed.
In addition to plain black and colours, glittering and metallic colours, such as gold, silver, bronze can be printed as well.
When you order “temporary tattoos in colour” in our online-shop there is standardly also white colour inlcuded. Therefore the colours are more vivid on the skin and transparent areas are white.
All common file formats are possible – no matter whether you prefer vector graphics or pixel graphics.
You can upload files with a maximum size of 5 MB in our online shop.
When ordering by e-mail, you can either send us the data directly in the e-mail or upload your data to Wetransfer, Dropbox etc. and send us a download link to your print data.
The reverse side of the backing paper of an adhesive tattoo is used as a print area for additional information.
There you will usually find the instructions for applying and removing tattoos, storage instructions, hazard warnings, and the manufacturer, seller, and ingredients.
Tip: you can also use the back print as advertising space and have a logo, contact information, or information on competitions etc. printed in 1C or 4C. Another variant of the back print is the single-colour preview of the tattoo.

Before ordering
Print Tattoo exclusively produces dermatologically tested and EC-approved products. The following tattoos are currently not offered. Unfortunately, there is currently no certified colour for these products.
- Glow-in-the-dark tattoos and neon tattoos with afterglow ink
- Egg tattoos
- Fingernail tattoos
- Chrome tattoos
- Scented tattoos
The minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per motif and size. Due to our production process, unfortunately, we can not produce smaller quantities.

Is it possible to get a proof print?
No, unfortunately it is not possible to make a single proof print due to our production process. The minimum order quantity for proofs is 100 pieces. However, we can send you our free sample package with various print tattoos to try out in advance so that you can convince yourself of the quality of our products.
After the order
Tip: ask a second person for help. When sticking large adhesive tattoos on, it is important to moisten the paper evenly and to avoid air bubbles.
You will typically receive Print tattoos within approx. 3-4 weeks from receipt of print approval via standard shipping within Europe.
The easiest way to remove the tattoos is with the plaster remover offered by us as well, which is available as a cloth or spray. However, by rubbing the tattoo with soap, cream, or baby oil, it can easily be removed anytime as well.
The adhesive tattoos can be stored for approx. two years. Extreme heat and moisture should be avoided.
The delivery is made by Austrian post or various delivery services and forwarders like DPD and GO!.
- Clean and dry the affected area of skin
- Remove surface protection from the front
- Press the adhesive side on clean and dry skin surface
- Scrub the tattoo and dampen well with a sponge or cloth and press – about 20 to 30 seconds.
- Carefully lift the back of the tattoo on one corner to see if the image will adhere to the skin. If the tattoo paper does not detach easily from the motif, moisten it again with a sponge.
- Dry wet skin area and do not pat dry
The tattoos remain nicely visible after applying to the skin for about two to six (2 – 6) days. During this time the Tattoosticker are water and sweat resistant.
Depending on the body location, resilience, fat content of the skin and hair, the shelf life varies within two to six days.
Was kostet die Lieferung?
For orders placed in the online shop, delivery to Austria and Germany is free of charge. For all other European countries, the delivery costs depend on the weight of the package. Delivery is also free of charge for online shop orders from other European countries with a purchase value above €200 or €400. You can find more information about the delivery costs under Shipping.
